Amazing Tales is the NEWEST comic book store in Raleigh, NC. We opened October 3rd 2007. Our 1653 sqft store will offer comic book lovers a large selection of their favorite titles in an organized and open  space with ample parking, along with a wide variety of comic book related merchandise including t-shirts, hats, pins, posters, toys, graphic novels, paperback trades, card games,  Magic the Gathering, World of Warcraft, Dungeons & Dragons, Heroscape, and other collectibles including statuettes, as well as, a full line of comic book bags, backers, boxes, and card collector supplies. 

We will offer a no-fee discount subscription service in store as well. Stop by the store and fill out a subscription form and we will place the titles you want in your folder for you as they come in weekly. New titles will arrive each  Wednesday around 2:00pm. We will order any titles if you come by and let us know what your looking for. We also will attempt to reorder current books and novels at no additional cost. If we can get it we will.

If you are looking to sell any of your collections, please come by or email us to set up an appointment. We may purchase some titles and some collectable. We always except comics you wish to donate to a good home. We base offers on current price guides and amount of current stock. We offer a Collector's Corner Board for you to buy and sell items that we do not purchase or do not carry.  

 We have game tables set up for those interested in running games, campaigns or just to hang out to play. We hold Magic the Gathering tournaments Friday nights at 6:00pm (type 2 standard w/ $5 buy in) and we are now DCI approved. We hold Heroscape games on Sunday nights at 6:00pm, DM's please stop by if you would like to start up a new campaign this year.

     Our business is located in the Mission Valley Shopping Center at the corner of Avent Ferry Rd. and Western Blvd. Take 40 to the South Saunders/70 exit. Then take the Western Blvd. exit to Avent Ferry Rd. or take 440/US 1 to the Western Blvd. exit. We are next to the movie theater and Cup-a-Joe on the lower level .
